Research Study:
Exploring the Relationship between Mental Health & Gambling Issues
The Canadian Mental Health Association, Nova Scotia Division, is preparing a research study aimed at exploring the relationship between gambling and mental health issues and their related services. The data collected from this study will aid in determining ways in which to best assist people to deal effectively with these issues, which is important work in the field of recovery-oriented practices.
They are seeking the participation of mental health consumers and caregiver/family members of mental health consumers in this study. Participation in this project would involve either a short individual interview or participation in a small focus group concerning the relationship between gambling and mental health issues. Focus groups will be held throughout Nova Scotia when a minimum number of participants agree to meet. For those who participate in this study, an honorarium will be provided.
If you are interested in this project and would like to contribute to the body of knowledge needed to improve services to those living with both mental illness and gambling issues, please contact:
