The Victorian Supreme Court has ordered a self-confessed gambling addict to repay more than a million dollars he lost at a casino in the Bahamas
AUSTRALIA -- The Atlantis Paradise Island Casino loaned Gold Coast businessman, Harry Kakavas, $1 million US in November 2006.
Mr Kakavas lost all the money in a five-hour stint at a baccarat table.
His lawyers had argued the casino took advantage of his gambling addiction.
Last year, Mr Kakavas lost a civil case against the Melbourne Crown Casino for $35 million he lost in an 18-month gambling spree.
