As part of its continued commitment to build capacity, Gambling Awareness Nova Scotia offers funding to reduce gambling harm in communities throughout Nova Scotia.
 
Gambling Awareness Nova Scotia (GANS) is pleased to be able to provide funding to Community Health Boards for problem gambling initiative(s) and/or to provide funding to community organizations to undertake a problem gambling project. This is made possible through annual interest accrued from GAN’s Community Development Account.

This Gambling Awareness Toolkit was developed to provide Community Health Boards with project and funding support. It includes sections such as CHB project ideas, CHB funding support, tools for raising awareness, resources for media coverage, research and best practices and other resources related to problem gambling in Nova Scotia.
 
To assure that Gambling Awareness Nova Scotia is consistently identifying and developing innovative approaches to communicating effective prevention, education and outreach strategies, we have created a series of tools for various populations and topics.

It is our hope that this toolkit will serve as an indispensible tool for your Community Health Board to continue the challenge of targeting problem gambling in your community.
