Student Scholarship Video Challenge

The call for submissions to the 2011 Student Scholarship Video Challenge is now closed.  View the award recipients here.

Gambling Awareness Nova Scotia's annual Student Scholarship Challenge encourages graduating Grade Twelve high school students in Nova Scotia to research and explore gambling issues relevant to youth.

What's the Challenge?

Create a short 3-minute video that debunks this
common gambling myth:

“It’s easy to make money playing poker.”

Challenge Categories
GANS will award Student Scholarships to the top applicant(s) in two categories:

Judges’ Choice – $2,000 CAD*

A panel of judges will select their top video pick based on pre-selected criteria.

Viewers’ Choice – $2,000 CAD*

All videos will be available for viewing at facebook.com/GamblingAwareness on June 6, 2011. The video with the most 'likes' at the close of the Viewers' Choice Judging Period (June 20th, 9:00 a.m. AT) will be deemed the Viewers' Choice top video pick!

*Each scholarship will be equally divided among the teams’ members.
