One of the three key strategic priorities of the Nova Scotia Gaming Foundation is
Building Capacity to Make a Difference. For the 2008-2009 fiscal year, the Foundation was pleased to offer two types of Professional Development Grants - one type for teams and one type for individual staff members in community organizations.
Individual
The Nova Scotia Gaming Foundation sponsored individuals who wanted to enroll in the
Fundamental Concepts of Problem Gambling which is an online course available through
ProblemGambling.ca. This was for staff in community organizations. This course provided students with a practical understanding of gambling and problem gambling.
