In keeping with its commitment to build capacity in the research community, the Nova Scotia Gaming Foundation (NSGF) provides grants of up to $5,000 for students in the Province of Nova Scotia pursuing research in the area of problem gambling.
Submitting an Application
The following documents are required for an application to be considered:
- Completed Nova Scotia Gaming Foundation Research Studentship Application form. This form includes a two page research proposal and one page budget.
- Copy of the applicant's current CV. Curriculum vitaes should not exceed two pages.
- Certified copies of current year and the previous year's transcripts.
- Sealed reference letter from applicant's faculty supervisor. One copy is sufficient. Referees must seal their letter in an envelope, sign across the sealed flap and return the sealed envelope to the applicant to be sent with the application.
- Applicants must submit three copies of their application by mail or courier to:
