Why are there grant reporting requirements?
One role of the Nova Scotia Gaming Foundation is to fund projects and the NSGF must provide a detailed yearly report to the Minister, Health Promotion and Protection, disclosing the funds allocated through research grants, community projects grants and other activities. The reports provided to the NSGF about the use of funds provided to various health and community organizations provide the basis for the annual report prepared by the Nova Scotia Gaming Foundation. Therefore, prompt and complete grant reports are required from all grant recipients.
When is the grant report due?
The grant report is due one month after the conclusion of the training. If a final report is expected to be overdue, the grant recipient should contact the Nova Scotia Gaming Foundation to let them know about the difficulty and to request any required assistance. No additional grants will be awarded to organizations that have outstanding grant reports.
What is the required format for the grant report?
A format for the Professional Development Team Grants has been developed and can be downloaded by clicking on the link below. Additional information may be included as Appendices to the grant report. Any questions regarding the reports should be forwarded to the Foundation Office.
